Jeff Meyerhofer leads several key areas within Optum Financial as the Chief Operating Officer and serves as Group Head of Provider and Payer Solutions (which includes payment solutions Optum Pay and Optum Financial). He has significant experience in the health care sector and previously served as President of Value-based Payments within UnitedHealthcare’s Medicare & Retirement business, as Senior Vice President of UHC’s Specialty Benefits and held a variety of executive leadership roles within UnitedHealth Group. Prior to joining UnitedHealth Group, Jeff spent over 10 years in Capital Markets for GMAC, a former division of General Motors.
Jeff holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis, MN, with a concentration in finance. He also completed the Policy Fellowship at the University of Minnesota, established by former Vice President Walter Mondale. Jeff is an active volunteer with the UHC Children’s Foundation (UHCCF) and helped to create the annual UHCCF Century Cycling Ride, resulting in over $8M raised for the foundation over 10 years.
Jeff lives in Edina, MN with his wife and two children.
Chief Information Officer
Ted draws on more than 25 years of senior-level technology expertise to execute Optum Financial’s product vision and future innovation. He currently leads the design and development of all application platforms, technical infrastructure and security. As the Chief Technology Officer at Empyrean Benefit Solutions, Ted previously led technology teams through a period of rapid growth and an eventual financial exit by Securian Financial Group. He has also worked as senior vice president of operations and technology at Fleet One where he helped drive organic organizational growth that culminated in an acquisition by WEX. In addition, Ted served as vice president of network and payment systems at Alliance Data Systems, where he planned, managed, and maintained switching capacity to support over 2.5 billion transactions per year.
Ted is an active angel investor with a focus on healthcare and healthcare IT companies. He serves as Co-Founder and Operating Partner at NueCura Partners, LLC.
Vice President, Marketing
Elisa’s focus at Optum Financial is to provide strategic leadership and drive company growth. Elisa brings over 25 years of B2B strategy and marketing experience to her role at Optum Financial. Elisa has worked as a senior executive with a variety of Fortune 100 technology leaders and start-ups in healthcare and technology. Her ability to seamlessly shift between creating strategy and delivering on operational objectives fosters inventive thinking and creative solutions – allowing her to deliver measurable results that contribute to increasing the bottom line while elevating brand awareness.
An avid outdoor enthusiast, Elisa holds a BA from Drew University in English Literature and a badge of courage from her orthopedic surgeon.
Vice President, Payer Sales
Jarvis manages Optum Financial’s direct and channel partner sales efforts in the Dental, Healthcare, Workers’ Compensation and Auto Insurance verticals. Prior to coming to Optum Financial, Jarvis spent 20 years in sales and marketing of electronic transaction solutions, most recently as a Sales Executive for Fiserv Output Solutions, responsible for all e-payment and e-document solution sales in the healthcare vertical. Jarvis currently serves on the Board of Trustees at the National Dental EDI Council and has been actively involved in the organization since 2006. In 2009 and 2010 he received the Chairman’s Award for outstanding contribution to the organization. He also currently serves on the Board of Directors at AAPAN.
Jarvis earned his Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and is an avid Formula One racing fan.
SVP, Human Capital
Nicole is responsible for evolving the HR function at Optum Financial while maintaining our core values of doing the right thing, respect and having fun. Prior to Optum Financial, Nicole held similar roles at Concur Technologies, Inc. and GDSX, Ltd. in Allen, TX. Nicole received her Bachelor of Business Administration from Texas Tech University with a double major in General Business and Management and has earned both her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification and her Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification.
Nicole lives with her husband and their two daughters. She tries to indulge in her love of yoga and dark chocolate every day.
Chief Product Officer
Kris is a technology executive with over 20 years of transformational leadership, with a strong focus on Fintech. He thrives on building secure, reliable payment solutions to transform complex business problems. Kris is a former professor at the University of Dallas, graduate school of management, and holds a patent for securing telebanking solutions from hackers.
Chief Financial Officer
John is responsible for all aspects of Accounting and Finance including financial operations, banking, reporting and budgeting. His significant experience with corporate finance, budgeting and forecasting and strategic insights delivers deep value to the company. Prior to Optum Financial, John spent three years as Director of Global Operations for VCE, a subsidiary of EMC, which was sold to Dell in 2016. John spent 11 years as VP of Finance at Technisource, a leading IT staffing and solutions firm, running Finance and Accounting and Mergers and Acquisitions before selling Technisource to the Spherion Corporation. John also worked for Alltel, Inc. and Delta Trust and Bank.
John lives in Dallas and enjoys scuba diving, competitive shooting, cycling, and travel.
Chief Operating Officer
Ben is responsible for building and scaling Optum Financial’s financial, operational and delivery functions; including customer support, implementations, treasury and banking operations. Prior to Optum Financial, Ben was CFO and EVP of Offshore Operations for IOD Inc., which was sold in 2015 to CIOX. Ben has also worked as an executive at FleetOne Holdings and ChoicePay Inc. both companies serving the payment industries. A native of New Zealand, Ben earned his Bachelor of Business Studies at Massey University, New Zealand and his MBA from the UTD (University of Texas at Dallas). He is also a CA, Chartered Accountant in New Zealand.
Ben lives with his wife and four children and enjoys golf, tennis, cycling and travel. They also enjoy rooting on their favorite sports teams, which in addition to their children’s, range from Dallas Cowboy football to the New Zealand All Blacks rugby.

As a former M&A and technology attorney with extensive experience in business development and public policy in fintech, Jeff has worked with early-stage and growth companies throughout his career helping build them into scalable businesses. As President of Optum Financial, Jeff oversees sales, marketing, and government affairs.
